Dúvugarðar in Saksun is the largest farm in the Faroe Islands supporting a flock of some 700 sheep on 2.500 hectares/6.200 acres.
Our project to restore the old heritage farm of Dúvugarðar started in 2024. It is an ongoing restoration and preservation of the entire farm. And we need your help! Your contribution makes it possible to bring the history of Dúvugarðar back to life.
Our ambition is to rebuild the historic buildings, the stone walls, the angelica garden and more.
Our goal is to bring back the true spirit of a farmer’s lifestyle in the heritage farm of Dúvugarðar in the 18th century and to give you the opportunity to experience it. We thank you for any contribution; profits go to preserving and restoring this historic farm.
